Pregnant by My Absent Husband
After her husband Jason “dies,” divorce lawyer Sophia follows her grandmother’s last wish and conceives via frozen sperm. But her in-laws accuse her of cheating and kick her out of the house. Forced to make a living, she sets up a booth at an amusement park, offering legal advice. Meanwhile, Jason—who faked his death for a secret mission—returns under the alias “Jesse” and, unaware of the truth, hires Sophia as his divorce lawyer. Mistaking Sophia’s cousin Claire for his own unfaithful “wife,” Jason fails to recognize that the “Jesse” before Sophia is her “deceased” husband. As they investigate the divorce case, the two are drawn to each other, but conspiracies and misunderstandings keep driving them apart. Finally, during a kidnapping crisis, Jason realizes with a shock that the woman he truly loves is none other than his legal wife, Sophia—and that the child she carries is their own.
