When her period begins unexpectedly, Julian refuses to buy her new pants and gives her dream limited-edition bedding to Serena, his late twin brother’s girlfriend. After Julian abandons her repeatedly for Serena, Chloe catches them cheating. Her father suffers a critical heart attack amid Julian’s false accusations and violence. Chloe flees to America, supported by her secret admirer Liam. Julian’s desperate reconciliation attempts fail. A confrontation causes Serena’s miscarriage and infertility. Julian chooses prison over marrying Serena and gets a 3-year sentence. Years later, Chloe returns with Liam and their twins. Julian dies in prison and Serena commits suicide.
